We all hum for hummus!
Okay, maybe that was a corny intro, but seriously, I can’t keep enough garbanzo beans in my pantry these days. I have been making a lot of dishes with garbanzo beans, like my Garbanzo Bean Salad which keeps nicely in the refrigerator, or my Sweet and Savory Couscous that is killer with some grilled chicken, and this hummus which my three-year-old and I developed a mid-afternoon craving for … about a year ago. It’s great that he loves his hummus and veggies but I think I’ve turned him into a snacking monster, like yours truly.
Roasted pepper hummus, greek hummus, jalapeño and cilantro hummus … these are a few of the fun flavors I enjoy, but the garlic hummus is definitely the most popular in my home. Hummus is made in a variety of ways, with different consistencies, flavors, and textures. You will find that this hummus recipe is somewhat of the middlemen of hummuses. It is not runny (yuck) nor is it super thick (blah). The texture isn’t chunky, nor is it too smooth. The garlic flavor and potency can be determined on an individual basis so it is easy to change it up! So without further ado, brought to you by popular demand, my infamous Garlic Hummus.
