Today I am sharing with you a little gem that sits in the corner of my kitchen, my single cup Verismo espresso machine. Made by Starbucks, this espresso machine makes the morning coffee routine super simple and quick.
For the longest time, I had only been using my Verismo to make my typical cup of coffee, that is, until a close friend and I discovered a wonderful beverage made at Peet’s Coffee & Tea, called the Coconut Black Tie. Both of us often joke about how often we crave this enjoyable beverage. If you haven’t had one, your in for a treat! That being said, I decided to try making my own, much more affordable version of this drink, using the Verismo. This recipe is my twist on the Coconut Black Tie, a perfect iced coffee to enjoy during these last few days of warm weather.
First things first …
Use the Starbucks Espresso Roast pod and place it in my Verismo machine as directed, of course, you can use your favorite blend. Buy Espresso Roast pods here.
Select the espresso size button on the machine to get a rich shot of espresso.
Fill my cup with ice.
Add milk.
Add in sweetened condensed milk and coconut flavoring.
Pour the shot of espresso on top.
Stir and enjoy!
coconut iced coffee

Ingredients
1 Espresso Roast Verismo pod
1 cup 2% milk
2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk, fat free
1/4 teaspoon coconut extract
ice
Instructions
- Use your Starbucks Verismo machine to brew a shot of their Espresso Roast, set aside.

Notes
I double the coconut flavoring to 1/2 teaspoon for a richer flavor in this iced beverage.
There are a variety of ways to make this beverage, if you prefer, you can use almond milk instead of 2% milk.
